Bring your events to life |
|
We’re getting ready for Social Sciences Week 2026, and planning is underway across the country. Each year, the program comes to life through events hosted by teachers, researchers, organisations and community groups — and we’re excited to start building the next national lineup.
Whether you’re looking to test a new idea, bring an established event back, or simply schedule something you’re already running to take place during the week, now’s the time to get planning. |

Spark Grants are now open |
|
Have an idea for a social science event? Our Spark Grants offer funding to support engaging activities during the week, from one-off talks and workshops to creative, community-led events that reach new audiences.
The grants are designed to help turn good ideas into something tangible, whether you’re starting from scratch or building on something you’ve run before. If you’ve been thinking about trying something new, partnering with others, or making your work more public-facing, this is a great opportunity to make it happen.

Event registrations open this month |
|
Planning something for September? You can now register your event as part of Social Sciences Week 2026. Being in the program puts your event on the national map and gives it a bit of extra reach through our channels.
There’s plenty of flexibility to plan it your way — small or large, online or in a local venue — as long as it opens up social science to a broader audience. If you’ve already got something in the works, it’s a good time to lock it into the week.
Registrations close 31 July 2026, so don’t leave it too late.
